In a sense you do pay to get an advantage, since you can pay to research all equipmenet on a plane so you don't have to grind to upgrade it, and max out crew skills out right. The biggest advantage you're going to get by spending money is earning RP faster, which isn't going to make you kill anyone faster than you otherwise could. Something that War Thunder doesn't have.) In War Thunder, you can pay to unlock planes/tanks faster, but you aren't getting an advantage over others since, if an aircraft/tank is better it has a higher battle rating. Początkowo opublikowane przez AussieGhost789:Pay to win is paying to get an advantage that other, non paying players, do not have. When you can see paying-exclusive content that puts the paying players at a clear advantage over non-paying players, you can complain about pay2win. Or if there's something they can't get without buying it for real, it at least isn't giving the buying players any clear unfair advantages. It doesn't actually help you winning, and it doesn't give you any unfair advantages over non-paying players, either, because they can get what you can buy, even if it takes them longer. It makes the grinds faster, but all that does is make the game more comfortable. INB4 Fanboys I'm not a fanboy, but I'll say it, anyway: What you're critizing as pay2win here just isn't. I've got 200k convertable XP, however I'm not buying $100 worth of golden lions just to proceed with the game. Unless you get 10 kills per match, you'll be in the never ending grind. However these people don't understand that also applying a huge XP lock enforcing a massive grind when not paying is just as bad as any other pay 2 win model. People think pay 2 win means buying the best items/vehicles. The game is just a hugeeee grind if you don't buy lions, research just takes forever and aquiring new planes is just a chore.

However if you don't buy golden eagles you can not convert XP. Początkowo opublikowane przez Umadbrah:You don't "buy" the best planes, so it comes across that it's not actually pay to win. You need the experiance from the grind anyway, and I am not talking aobout XP, im talking actualy flight time.Īnd before you try and call me a fanboy, anyone on these forums can attest, I am polite, but not pleased with Gaijin in the least, and have NO problem voicing it.

But aside from making the grind twice as long for a Free player, it doesnt do crap.Īnd FORGET about convertible RP, its a money grab and not worth the time. Premium only doubles the reward, AKA, it halfs the grind. I put in anywhere between 5-25 hrs a week, and mostly am a free player, unless I know for a fact that I will spend 5+ hrs in game on one day, where I will purchase a sinlge day of Premium to maximise the long game time. I have ground out fully maxed T4 bomber lines on America and Japan, with T3 on Russia and I am about 1 plane away from researching my cambera. Is it still manageable on a free (or in my case mostly free) acount? YES

Having played a few TRUE pay to win f2p games I can say this is NOT one.ĭoes it had a ridiculous grind for free players that SHOULD be reduced? Yes
